About the Developer

Sommerset Pointe developer Fred Taylor was raised in Ellsworth, Michigan and moved to Georgia in 1983 with his family to start a business. Fred currently lives in Rome, Georgia and owns a number of businesses that design and manufacture specialized tires and wheels, with operations in Thailand, South Africa, China, Europe and Canada.

Beginning in 2001 Fred began designing custom homes for Lake Charlevoix property owners, and he purchased the Sommerset Pointe property in 2005. His hobbies are work, golf, tennis, cooking and fishing.
